For everyone who loves technology, Samsung d’light is a great interactive experience in the Gangnam neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea.
You will learn more about future possibilities, including smart homes, while experiencing how much fun the future can be. This is a great stop for anyone who loves technology, and also a great option on a rainy day. I enjoyed my visit to Samsung d’light very much.
First floor (ground level)
Step into the future and see some of Samsung’s most innovative technologies on the first floor. You will receive your very own Samsung d’light band and start your journey to find out more about your place in this new world.
This first floor is about you. You sync your d’light band with the Samsung systems to create your character and move to the first room to find your inner unique emotions. What moves you?
The next room is about Sense: find your hidden senses and use the mirror to create interesting pictures of yourself and others.
While exploring your intuition you can create your own world: do you like it smooth or chunky, big or small? What world would you like to live in? Imagine your future with endless possibilities and make it happen.

You can share your journey with the world and explore Samsung’s latest products in the middle of the hall. It is always fun to play around with new technology: if only I had the funds and a bigger home. I already own a Samsung phone and a fridge.
But your journey is not over yet: move on to the second floor for more.
Second floor
The second floor is about smart homes. See if you can walk around imagining the future you will live in.
Technology will aid you in every single way, but only if you want it to. It can help you decide what to wear, support cooking and create a relaxing home environment.
At schools, digital learning will become more prominent. It can make learning more fun as it can create tailor-made experiences.
The future of shopping will make big impact as well. This is good for shops that master the technology, but perhaps not so good for you as a customer. You will get suggestions that make your shopping experience go more smoothly. At the same time, you might end up buying things you don’t need.
With smartphones and other devices, you can keep track of your health status. There will be no more reason to slack with numerous free exercise apps.
Basement
In the basement, you can shop for Samsung products. It is probably cheaper to buy elsewhere, but the store and the showrooms on the first and second floor combined nicely show what’s available.
How to get to Samsung d’light in Seoul
Samsung d’light is only a few minutes’ walk from Gangnam subway station (exit 8) on the green line. The entrance to the exhibition area is on the side of the building furthest away from the subway station: look for the blueish entry doors. The other entrances and buildings are for employees.
