About me
Hi, I’m Kim. Mother of two wandering little explorers aged 2 and 4, and in daily life deeply immersed in the world of AI, ontologies and logic. Let me be upfront: I have no pedagogical background and I’m not a parenting expert. I’m a parent who refuses to let the future wash over us passively, and who loves filtering complex tech at a kitchen table covered in craft supplies.
On wheretokim.com I do essentially one thing: translate complex technological concepts into tangible, screen-free adventures for the very youngest. My biggest driver? Preventing AI from becoming an impenetrable black box for the next generation. While technology still develops step by step, we can expose and understand those mechanisms — by making them analog.
I strongly believe in Co-Creative AI Literacy. Yes, I use AI intensively as a strategic sparring partner for this blog — that’s core to how I work. But don’t be mistaken: theory may look beautiful in the cloud, once it lands in our living room, chaos rules. Every failed setup, blob of snot on a sensor or brilliant insight comes straight from our own family reality.
The evolution of Wheretokim
Just as algorithms adapt, this blog evolves with my life and interests. In the archive you’ll find a rich collection of earlier passions: in-depth stories about distant travel, language learning journeys and book reviews. That content remains firmly anchored and you’ll still occasionally see updates there.
But reality demands a new focus. These days I largely share the world of my growing children. The main theme therefore shifts with their ages and the challenges each new phase brings. We start at the kitchen table with toddlers and preschoolers — where we’ll be in five or ten years? We’ll discover that along the way.
